Boat Slip Auction is still on for August 15, 2010.  

The Boat Slip auction that had been scheduled after the Board meeting on August 15 will be held.  Because the Board meeting was postponed, the auction will be moved up to noon, at the Pavilion. 

As stated in the prior notice, six boat slips will be available for auction, Category I slip number 35 and Category II slips numbered 21, 25,  27, 29, and 30.  Minimum bid for the Category I slip is $500, while the minimum bids for the Category II slips are $300.  See Auction Notice for details.

    The Tara Woods Property Owners Association website is provided for the use of our property owners, friends and guests of our community. This site represents the philosophy of the Tara Woods Board of Directors.  That philosophy is to openly provide useful information to the residents of Tara Woods without personal agenda or individual bias.  Our Covenants and By-Laws are presented for your reference.  It is the belief of our community that strong Covenants and By-Laws will protect your investment.  In an attempt to keep you informed of what’s going on in your community we post the minutes of our Annual Association Meetings.  Additionally, we also provide you a copy of the minutes from the Board of Directors meeting.  Annual Association and Board of Director meetings are open to TWPOA members in good standing, see our schedule for the next meeting.  At the top of this page you will also find additional links to information regarding our communities activities and schedule of events.  We hope this website helps you stay informed about our community's activities.

    Boat slips in our Marina are the property of the association and are not owned by individual access property owners.  Boat Slip Assignments are made by the association.  Arrangements to use a boat slip assigned to another property owner should be coordinated between the two property owners and the information passed to the Proper Manager and the Board of Directors.  Property owners are also permitted to schedule the Pavilion in our commons area, for their personal use on a first come basis.  The Pavilion Schedule lists our 4th of July activities, our TWPOA annual picnic and other scheduled events you may be interested in attending.  Please contact the Property Manager to schedule an event.

    The Tara Woods newsletter comes out quarterly.  The latest editions are posted for your convenience.  The newsletter provides information on what’s happening around Lake Anna and in our community.  Many of the Tara Woods' activities covered in the newsletter can also be seen on our webpage and include those of the entire community as well as individual interest groups.  Photos of these activities will be included if they are available.  If you have photos (.jpg or .gif) from one of our activities that should be on our website, please forward them to our webmaster at TWPOA@hughes.net.

    For a display of routes to Tara Woods for your guests, have them go to our website and click on the road map link.. Hopefully, when they need instructions you can simply point them to this web site and they will find their way to Tara Woods.
